Because of my lifetime spent in the billiard industry I have seen considerable growth and changes. My Dad was only the 3rd dealer to carry Olhausen's pool tables. I have watched Olhausen Billiards grow from selling a few hundred tables a year to over 30,000. From 3 dealers to 250 nationwide.

One example is California House. This company builds high quality game room furniture. The Start family, founders of California House, has it's fourth generation working in the business. When I call this company with a question or problem I'm not just dealing with employees but people with history in the company.
You will also find that I carry as few foriegn made goods as possible. When it comes to your pool table, furniture or game table you have a choice. Domestically made products can have a higher initial cost but in the long run the higher quality construction, finishes and long term customer service will more than make up the difference. If you add the value of your pride and satisfaction in owning a superior product, domestically made products win hands down.
Of course many foreign made products are highly desirable or meet customer's needs for price. When a foreign product is superior in quality we carry it. The best pool table slate is mined and honed in Italy. The best balls are manufactured in Belgium. The highest quality cloth is made in Europe. Sadly, many items are only made in China now.
